Laundry

Just like the shower the laundry is outside. It is snowing again and very cold. I had a better night but will cold at times.  I thank God that I purchased a cold weather sleeping bag before I came.  My military poncho liner is light but warm.  Since it is silk it tends to slide off, I can feel the difference when it does.

They changed me to another team to work with. We are having church here I think and I signed up to attend a memorial service this afternoon. We are praying that we will do well tomorrow when we actually start working.

Let it snow

We got a good night sleep and when I went out for my shower it was snowing. Was cold most of the night, trying to get use to a sleeping bag again.  God is truly working in the lives of the SP volunteers as well as the Japanese people I have come in contact with.

Arrived at Tome Camp

It was a typical train trip and everyone enjoyed it.  We had to take a bus, two trains, and a van taxi. All in all it was a fun trip.

The main building where we will be staying. The blue tarp building has the showers and outside port a potty in it. The showers are heated but you have to leave the building to get to it.
Showers are like a port a potty in that it has a small dressing area and a shower.

We eat our meals and hangout in the dinning area.

This is Wayne (in blue cap) who is going to be my site leader.  I look forward to working with him.

And we have a prayer/worship time each evening after dinner.
