This is the house that I am working on. Water filled the entire house up to the middle of the stairs leading to the second floor. Another crew came in and preformed the following:
1. Gutted the entire first floor, walls, ceiling, and floors.
2. Remove the mud from under the floor, walls, etc.
3. Power washed all studs, walls, etc. Then they applied a bleach solution to everything, studs, etc.
As you can imagine everything on that floor had to be thrown away.
The homeowner came to visit us today, he is a kind man in his 50s I would guess, he brought us some snacks, and you could see him fighting back tears of job to see how far we have come to restoring his home. We do all the rough work and he will have a finish carpenter come in to finish the home.
