Today is my day off so I and two others hitched a ride to
the Tome Mall area. We had a good time
of window shopping and lunch. It is fun
to see all the different stuff they have in the stores here.
We ate lunch at Marumatsu Japanese Restaurant. I let the choice up to the other guys and I
am glad they picked this restaurant.
We had my favorite meal here in Japan, Tonkatsu.

We took a cab back to the base. We had directions give to us by one of our
Japanese staff, but, calling the cab company, trying to give directions, etc.
was fun. Got back to the base camp and there are only a handful of us
here. All the others are gone for the
day sightseeing, or working.
I just got permission to take next Friday off to go to Tokyo
to visit with John. I am planning on
leaving right from work on Thursday night and should arrive late in
Shinjuku. I am excited about seeing both
John and Tokyo again.
Tonkatsu! - now I know your real reason for going to Japan. Hope you can get over to see our okonomiyaki chef friend. Hello to John!
